Kryvyi Rih football club “Gornyak” is a team that deserves respect, a team that has been delighting its loyal fans with a worthy game at a high level for many years.

The Football Club “Gornyak” is a team with a long and interesting history. The founding date of the team is 1925, when the football club was called “The Football Team of the Miner Karl Liebknecht”. The team’s debut year was quite successful, the team reached the final of the local championship, where, nevertheless, lost in a bitter struggle to the stronger and more experienced opponent at that time.
Our football team has been playing at local tournaments, regional competitions as well as has been participating in the cup and championship of the city and even in the championships of the region for a long time. The team has always been a serious opponent, which was respected even by the leaders of the standings.
The team has been given a new life by Fedor Ivanovich Karamanits. The club changed its name to “Shakhta Rodina”. And the football team “Shakhta Rodina” had already became the champion and winner of the city cup in 1999! In the same year the team became the gold medalist of the “UKRRUDPROM” concern enterprises cup, and it had also reached the final of the regional cup.

2015 – The football team has taken the 9th place in the debut season of 2014/2015 in the First League "Gornyak"
